Music is a wonderful thing to have in our lives, and it has always been my biggest passion. Working with beginners is one of my favorite things because I love sharing the gift of music and introducing others to the thing that has brought so much joy to my life. I teach banjo, guitar (acoustic and electric), mandolin, and fiddle in many styles including folk, bluegrass, old-time, pop, rock, blues, and more! I love old-time music and have played the fiddle and banjo for barn-dances with several local bands including The Wakarusa Roundabouts and The Wolves A’Howling. I consider the banjo my specialty, in particular the old-time clawhammer style, but I also enjoy teaching bluegrass Scruggs style and other old-time fingerstyles. Aside from standard notation (A, B, C…) I can also teach in solfege (Do-Re-Mi…) I am currently located in Santiago, Chile, so lessons will have to be remote for now, but I would love to connect online with new students and help share the gift of music.
