All ages are welcome.
Explore the Open House
There’s no set schedule for the open house. Grab a WELCOME WiNTER Passport when you arrive and explore activities throughout AMA at your own pace.
❄ Make Sheet-Music Snowflakes
Give old sheet music a second life by turning it into a one-of-a-kind paper snowflake to take home.
☕ Warm Up at the Cocoa & Cider Bar
Build yourself a cozy cup of hot cocoa or cider, choose your favorite toppings, and find a warm nook to enjoy it. Cocoa and cider will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting AMA programming.
🍪 Build a Cookie Plate
Mix and match your favorites to create your own plate of homemade treats to take home—or enjoy before you leave! Cookie plates will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting AMA programming.
💌 Send Some Warm Winter Wishes
Write a postcard to someone who could use a little warmth as the days get colder. Send it to someone you know, or write one for us to deliver to an area nursing home.
🎙 Visit the Winter Sounds Recording Booth
What does winter sound like to you? Step into our recording booth and contribute a sound, memory, thought, or tiny performance to our collection of winter sounds. Foley suggestions and supplies provided!
🎵 Share a Wish for the Next Generation of Musicians
Add your wish, encouragement, or piece of advice for the young musicians who will carry our musical community into the future.
Complete the WELCOME WiNTER Passport
Pick up a WELCOME WiNTER Passport when you arrive and collect stamps as you explore activities throughout the Academy.
Complete your passport and you’ll earn an exclusive WELCOME WiNTER prize! Prizes are available to the first 50 people to complete their passports, so start exploring when you arrive.
We’ll also have a raffle featuring a variety of prizes running throughout the evening. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting AMA.
No purchase is necessary to complete the WELCOME WiNTER Passport.
Get Cozy
You don’t have to be doing something every minute.
We’ll have cozy nooks throughout the Academy where you can settle in with a cup of cocoa, visit with friends, listen to music, or simply enjoy being somewhere warm on a November evening.
Drop in for a few minutes or make a night of it.
Welcome Winter Album Release Concert
7:30 p.m. · Suggested Donation $15
At 7:30, we’ll gather for a special concert celebrating the release of WELCOME WiNTER, featuring original performances by local songwriters and musicians.
Hear music from the album performed live and celebrate the artists who came together to create it.
The concert is open to everyone, with a suggested donation of $15. Concert donations directly benefit the Americana Music Academy Student Scholarship Fund, helping make music lessons accessible to students in our community.
Take Welcome Winter Home
November 7 also marks the official release of the WELCOME WiNTER album.
The album will be available as a special cassette + USB-C physical release, combining a little analog nostalgia with an easy way to listen wherever you are. You can also purchase the album as a 3D-printed album ornament with QR download link.
Proceeds from every album sold directly benefit the AMA Student Scholarship Fund.
Music With a Purpose
The entire Welcome Winter evening is a fundraiser for Americana Music Academy.
Admission to the open house is free, so everyone is welcome to come in and participate. Optional purchases, raffle tickets, and donations throughout the evening help support AMA’s educational and community programming.
Proceeds from WELCOME WiNTER album sales and concert donations directly benefit the AMA Student Scholarship Fund, helping ensure that cost isn’t a barrier for students in our community who want to make music.
So cut a snowflake. Drink some cocoa. Write a postcard. Make some noise. Find a cozy chair. Hear some wonderful local music.
And help us make sure the next generation gets to make music, too.
We can’t wait to Welcome Winter with you.
Thank You to Our Sponsors
WELCOME WiNTER would not be possible without the generous support of our community.
A special thank you to Tom Harper and GPS Fretworks for helping us bring this album and celebration to life. We’re grateful for their support of Americana Music Academy, our local music community, and our work to make music education accessible to everyone.
Thank you for helping us Welcome Winter!
