Brandon Jones is a percussionist residing in Lawrence, KS. While pursuing a B.A. in Music at Fort Hays State University (2015-2020), Brandon performed often with the FHSU Jazz I Ensemble on drum set and vibraphone as well as serving as drumline coordinator and playing percussion with the Hays Symphony Orchestra regularly. During his time in Hays, Brandon also studied composition and had a variety of percussion and electronic music pieces performed during the annual Spectrum Composition Recital at FHSU. In 2022, his composition Death of a Machine for percussion duet and electronics premiered at the Shawnee Mission West Drum Show. Recently, he also performed the music of James Taylor and Carole King at the Quality Hill Playhouse in 2023 in their show You’ve Got a Friend. Currently, Brandon teaches in Lawrence, KS as well as serving as a percussion specialist for Olathe South High School and teaching private lessons.
