Caroline Guidry is an active performer, teacher, and collaborator. She has extensive musical experience as both an accomplished pianist and violinist. Caroline loves the opportunity to perform a wide variety of genres and styles, including classical, jazz, hymns and musical theater. She has worked on nearly 10 shows as rehearsal accompanist for both Lawrence Arts Center and Theater Lawrence. Caroline has also worked as a school accompanist for Bishop Seabury Academy and the Baldwin School district. Caroline studies with Dr. Michael Kirkendoll at the University of Kansas where she is pursuing her master’s degree in piano performance.
Caroline is a dedicated teacher and works with students of all ages who are eager to learn. She uses the Sassmannshaus and Suzuki methods for beginning violinists and the Faber and Musicolor methods for beginning pianists. She focuses on developing strong sight-reading skills early on and encourages a wide variety of styles in her instruction based on the student’s goals and interests.She finds immense joy in sharing music with kids. She strives to pass on both the skills and knowledge to not only be an accomplished musician, but more importantly to become a deeper, more insightful individual.
