Community Carol Sing with Fiddle Carolers

December 13 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

All ages, voices, and acoustic stringed instruments welcome!

There are no better-known melodies than the traditional Christmas Carols.  Fiddling is improvising around a well-known melody.  Our books have lyrics and chords.  If you need musical notation call Steve Mason at 785-841-0277.  With an advance copy of the Fiddle Caroling Book, you will know the key of each Carol, and you can get notation online.

Please arrive at 3:00 to set chairs, stash cases, grab a book, tune, etc. We have lots of music stands but not necessarily enough.  If you have one please bring it.  The library has plenty of good strong armless chairs.  Chairs will be arranged in concentric circles with musicians and singers sitting together, facing in.  If we play a Carol that exceeds your instrumental skill, or one you haven’t prepared, just sing it.
