Lucas Munce is currently a freelance musician based in Lawrence, Kansas. Prior to moving back
to Kansas, he served as Assistant Professor of Clarinet and Jazz Saxophone at The University of
Louisiana at Lafayette. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Woodwind Performance and
Pedagogy as well as Masters Degrees in Clarinet Performance and Jazz Performance &
Pedagogy, all from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a native of Manhattan, Kansas
and a prior member of the prestigious United States Air Force Airmen of Note in Washington
D.C., as well as the USAF Academy Falconaires.
