Rachel Allai moved to Kansas from St. Louis to study wildlife biology at Baker University. She studied classical violin with the Suzuki method during school and found bluegrass fiddle while attending university. She is continuously inspired by the natural world and infuses her love for nature into her teaching. She especially loves working with children as her teaching style is light and playful. While she enjoys improvisation and studio work, she currently fiddles and sings for two regional bands, Weda Skirts and Signal Ridge. When she’s not fiddling around, you can find her in her garden, snuggling her cat Wally, playing with her wonder-filled 3 year old and introducing herself to neighborhood trees!
