Dive into techniques that can be applied to your songwriting through the “Songwriter’s Toolkit” workshop. This hour-long group session will allow songwriters of any skill level to analyze songs of yesterday in order to improve the original songs of tomorrow. How could we incorporate a major 2 chord like “Here Comes the Sun” or “Hey Good Looking” do? What could we learn from the A/A/B rhyme scheme of a blues song like “Stormy Monday”? Could we incorporate a major 3 chord and a minor 4 like “Creep” by Radiohead? 

Held over Zoom with instructor Matthew Mulnix, this workshop will present you with a folder of song documents to pull from. Analyze the songs while Matthew plays and dissects them, and gain techniques for your songwriting toolbelt!
