Lawrence Ukulele Players meet the THIRD Monday of each month at Murf’s (formerly Conroy’s Pub), 3115 W. 6th St. 66049 in Lawrence.
Gather from 6:30 – 7:00 to order food & beverages. Jam runs from 7-8:30. Stay after to socialize!
This group is welcome to any level of playing skill. Our meetings always begin with focus on beginner basics. You do not need to know how to read music to join this group.
If you would like to share a new song with the group, you can do it in two ways: 1) post it on the Facebook page or email list for folks to download to their device or print it, OR 2) bring a minimum of 20 copies to give to the other ukulele players. It’s helpful to have the chord name and chord diagrams on the song sheets, especially for those new to the uke.
Besides it being a jam we have included an open-mic feature to our gatherings. If you’d like to do one song (can be solo, duo, group) please let me know and I’ll schedule you in.
If you don’t have a song to share, that’s fine! Just come along and strum anyway. You know someone who doesn’t play but likes to sing? Bring ’em along and join the fun!
Masks are not required but are welcome.
